Cupcakes, Castles and Clouds: Wall Stickers for Kids

Our two-year-old daughter is quite the little artist. She absolutely loves to draw. Not long after introduced crayons to her, Hannah began churning out multiple works of colourful art a week, all of which we proudly display throughout the house. Those dozen or so crayons are some of her most prized possessions.

Like most toddlers, however, Hannah also loves to try new things, and she has lately taken to drawing on the walls. Our white walls must have looked so similar to the white paper she was colouring on, it was only natural to move her artwork there next. It has only happened once – red and purple scribbles up and down our living room wall! – but she has tried to do it many times since. We thought about ways to solve this problem while still encouraging her creativity and found that wall stickers for kids are a perfect remedy!

‘Sweet’ Wall Stickers for Kids

With plain paper not exciting enough for Hannah anymore, we had been looking for an outlet for Hannah’s desire to add wall decorations. Hanging paper or a whiteboard on the wall seems too tempting for her to stray outside the lines, but simply telling her ‘no’ has not done the trick.

That is how I stumbled upon these delicious-looking Castle Cupcake Wall Stickers from Becky & Lolo. You can stick and restick these wall stickers to the walls as much as you or your little artist likes, and they won’t leave behind any sticky residue. They also appear to have a more realistic look to them, as if someone had actually stenciled a bubblegum pink tree or an orange frosted cupcake on the wall, because they are printed on transparent material.

Growing Up

Being removable and repositionable, wall stickers also seem to be a good option for decorating the nursery. Children grow so fast, and what they like and dislike changes just as fast. One day, giraffes are a child’s favorite animal, but the next day they prefer pigs. Soon after, animals will have been completely replaced by cars!

It’s beautiful to see your little one come into his or her own, but it sure can be a headache for parents trying to match decorations to their child’s changing tastes. These wall stickers from Becky & Lolo come in many shapes, sizes, and themes for both girls and boys of all ages, so parents could simply replace their current stickers for different ones as their children get older. It could even become a birthday tradition!
